Bicycle Delivery
I delivered four bicycles to Athens Area Homeless Shelter this morning. 
As always, they are excited to receive them and thank you for your 
efforts. The shelter maintains a waiting list for bicycles and we have 
plenty more orders to fill...
Unfortunately, I could not deliver four other bicycles that were marked 
as complete because I deemed them in need of further repair. I have 
indicated the problems on tags attached to the bicycles. Our quantity 
is good but we need to pay more attention to quality. I suggest that 
each bicycle be inspected by at least two volunteers to make sure they 
are in safe working condition.

BRP at East Athens Festival?
BRP has been invited to participate in the East Athens neighborhood 
festival on October 13. BikeAthens will have a table informing festival 
goers about the Rail-Trail project and other BikeAthens' initiatives. 
It would be great if BRP could set up a repair stand and perform basic 
maintenance on kids' bikes (fix flats, adjust seat & handle bars, 
adjust brakes). If you can give a couple hours of your time please 
contact Carol Myers (cmyers [at] athenstech.edu).

BRP Council Meeting
The next meeting of the BRP workshop council is September 18, 6pm at 
460 Sunset Dr. The purpose of the council is to oversee the operation 
of the workshop.

Workshop Hours
Every Wednesday 6-8pm and every Sunday 2-4pm.
