I'd be glad to help.

I wonder if this is a good opportunity to promote the Co-op idea being
planned? In which case, it might be best to hold the event wherever the
co-op would be done.

Experience from the (one) such event I attended (The Loretta Cleveland
Festival) was that few people knew about the opportunity to get their bike
worked on. The customers we did have had to go back home to get their bike.
So, getting the word out seems important . . . .(keywords: free, bring your
bike).
