	Join Us at City Hall Friday, Aug. 3, 6PM, for Athens Group Ride The Athens Group Ride for August will start at City Hall at 6pm, Friday, Aug. 3. We'll take a leisurely ride around town and will end at Little Kings around 7pm. So come ride and/or just hang out with us! Be sure to bring a helmet and water.
	Amy Bids 'Goodbye' to BikeAthens; Heads to SC "After 11 years in Athens, 7 years with BikeAthens, and 1 year as its Administrator, I'm sad to say I will be moving to Columbia, SC.  Starting next week, I'll be the Executive Director of the Palmetto Cycling Coalition, working with transportation policy nearby.  I truly love Athens, and I have gotten to know some great people here.  Thank you everyone for the good times.  Also, thank you to those that work hard to maintain the sense of place and quality of life here, in many facets, that makes this town Athens.  The work is sometime long, sometimes hard, but always worthy, and definitely appreciated.  Keep in touch." ~Amy Johnson Palmetto Cycling Coalition News about Amy's new job
	Volunteer Opportunities Bike Recycling Program (BRP):  BRP workdays are held Mondays & Wednesdays from 6-8:30 PM and Sundays from 2-4:30 PM at the Chase St. warehouses (149 Tracy St.).  No skills necessary - we have plenty of volunteer jobs for all levels of experience.  Just be willing to get your hands dirty.  BRP reconditions bikes to donate to individuals in our community who are currently underserved by private and public transportation. New volunteers are best on Wednesdays.
	Weekly Read:  Daily Schedule of 2012 Olympic Bike Racing Events If you want to follow Olympic cycling on a daily basis for the rest of the London Olympic Games, here's a daily schedule.
	Down the Road and Elsewhere Annual Meeting, August 18 From 6-8pm, on this August Saturday come celebrate BikeAthens at this year's Annual Meeting!  We'll have food and beverages for our members, new and old, and our volunteers.  Come renew, join for the first time, or get to know us in the hopes of becoming a member soon!  Ballots for next year's board of directors will be available.  Come join in the fun, and meet us at the ACHF Firehall on Prince - a gorgeous building.  BRP Bike Sale On Sunday, August 26, from 12-4pm, we're planning on having our next BRP used bike sale.  You're guaranteed to find some serious treasures!  Photos and details coming soon.  Stay tuned...
