The Firefly Trail* needs volunteer help this weekend! 

The Union Junction Jamboree is this Saturday in Union Point from 10 am – 4 pm.  (www.unionjunctionjamboree.org) This event also includes a 3 mile bike ride over easy terrain. 

Volunteers are needed to set up and take down the Firefly Trail tent and booth.   We also need help staffing the booth during the day, handing out informational cards to passersby.   If you can volunteer, you will be provided with some trail information and "talking points".  

Setup time will be between 7:30 – 9:00 am.   Booth staff are needed 10:00 - 4:00.   Take down will be after 4:00 p.m. 

Please contact Mary Cook if you can volunteer for this event.   She can be reached by email until Wednesday afternoon ( mcook [at] onlineoglethorpe.com ) and after that time by telephone (706.338.7004) through Friday.   She will need to know what time you will be arriving and how long you can stay.

 

* The Firefly Trail is a 39-mile rail-trail planned to connect downtown Athens with downtown Union Point, along the historic Athens Branch of the Georgia Railroad.
