Volunteer Opportunities

Union Junction Jamboree, Saturday, Oct 1, 10am-4pm
*2 volunteers to staff the Firefly Trail Tent
Group Ride, Friday, Oct 7, 6-7pm
*~2 volunteers for ride captains!
cLips of Faith Film Festival, Friday, Oct 7, 12pm-12am
*~5 volunteers for serving beer (6-11pm) and take down (9-12pm)

Event:  2nd Annual New Belgium cLips of Faith Film Festival, Friday,
October 7

At this evening festival in downtown Athens, you can sample all of New
Belgiumâs latest brews, plus watch mini-films about sustainability and
alternative transportation on a huge screen at the end of Washington

Also a BikeAthens fundraiser, this event is the kick-off night to the

Event:  Ga Bike Summit Conference, Saturday and Sunday, October 8-9

Join bike advocates from across the state for a conference Saturday, and
rides Sunday!  The all day conference (at the Georgia Center) is packed
with sessions on bike safety and funding stats, new bike facility designs,
encouragement and education methods, legislative successes, and law
enforcement issues.  A few big name folks will be in attendance, 8am-5pm. 
The after-party is in the Sunshine Bikes parking lot, followed by a
mini-film series about bicycles downtown at Cineâ, 7:15-9pm.  Follow the

officials, colleagues, friends, and family who support safer bicycling
conditions in Georgia.

BRP Volunteer Opportunities

BRP workdays are held Mondays & Wednesdays from 6-8 PM and Sundays from
2-4:30 PM at the Chase St. warehouses. Volunteers need not have any
knowledge of bicycle maintenance; just be willing to get their hands dirty
repairing, tuning up, cleaning, and outfitting bikes. Feel free to bring
your own repair stands and tools although it is not necessary that you
have these items to participate.

BikeAthens' Bicycle Recycling program, a cooperative venture with local
social support agencies, distributes reconditioned bikes to individuals in
the Athens community who are underserved by private and public
transportation. We rely exclusively on volunteers to recondition the
