BRP needs Volunteers and Kidsâ Bikes!

BRP relies exclusively on volunteers at our warehouse shop located in the
Chase St. warehouse district. Volunteers need not have any knowledge of
bicycle maintenance; just be willing to get their hands dirty repairing,
tuning up, cleaning, and outfitting bikes. It's that time of year again
and we are looking for kids bikes to refurbish for our Holiday Bikes For
Kids drive. If you have bikes in good condition that your kids have
outgrown,
please consider donating them to our program. BRP reconditions the bikes,
and donates them to schools and social service agencies that distribute
them to kids in need, just before the Holidays. We are accepting donations
at our BRP bike shop during normal hours, or contact brp [at] bikeathens.com if
you can't make it down then. We're also looking for monetary donations to
help buy new helmets to distribute with each bike. We pay $5 each for
helmets so every donation helps. The shop is currently operating under the
following expanded time schedule:
o Sundays: 2 â 4:30PM
o Mondays & Wednesdays: 6 â 8:30PM
o Saturdays: 9:30AM â 12:30PM (December 17 only!)
o Last day of HB4K project: Sunday, Dec. 18
