The article on riding with kids is great. Wondering if any other parents would like to try a Kidical Mass ride similar to what they described. Nora, our two-year old, had had fun on BikeAthens group rides over the past year or so, but there don't ever seem to be other kids there, and I know she'd enjoy some younger company.
Friday evenings would be great...weekly, combining with the BA ride on first Fridays. I'm open to other time slots, too. Non-BA Fridays might have to feature Cali n' Tito's.
Don't have a kid? Get a basket or a trailer for your dog! Grab a niece, nephew, or friend's kid - parents will appreciate the down-time, but nothing beats riding with a little buddy!

Greenway Network Plan meeting TONIGHT
Come out tonight for our last night of public input on the Level One and Two Greenway Network Plan Map updates. The meeting will be held from 6-8pm at the Planning Department Auditorium, 120 West Dougherty Street. If you can’t attend the meeting tonight, the proposed changes are online and use this comment form.

Group Ride next Friday!
This month, Group Ride will start at City Hall at 6pm, Friday, Aug. 3. We'll take a leisurely ride around town and will end at Little Kings around 7pm. So come ride and/or just hang out with us! Be sure to bring a helmet and water.

Volunteer Opportunities

Bike Recycling Program (BRP): BRP workdays are held Mondays & Wednesdays from 6-8 PM and Sundays from 2-4:30 PM at the Chase St. warehouses (149 Tracy St.). No skills necessary - we have plenty of volunteer jobs for all levels of experience. Just be willing to get your hands dirty. BRP reconditions bikes to individuals in our community who are currently underserved by private and public transportation. New volunteers are best on Wednesdays.

Annual Meeting, August 18
From 6-8pm, on this August Saturday, come celebrate BikeAthens at this year's Annual Meeting! We'll have food and beverages for our members, new and old, and our volunteers. Come renew, join for the first time, or get to know us in the hopes of becoming a member soon! Ballots for next year's board of directors will be available.
